The KARI Foundation is a prominent Australian charity committed to uplifting First Nations communities by providing support, opportunities, and empowerment. At the heart of KARI’s mission lies its dedication to addressing systemic issues, particularly the challenge of “black cladding” – the presence of counterfeit or non-First Nations businesses falsely claiming First Nations heritage for financial gain. To tackle this issue head-on and drive social impact, KARI established KARI Aboriginal Procurement, a crucial arm of its operations that aims to promote genuine First Nations businesses while meeting industry needs.
