Morgan has extensive experience in advisory, workout and insolvency across a wide range of industries. This experience has involved formal appointments, expert industry reports and informal advisory roles in businesses ranging in size from SMEs to multinational organisations.

He has significant experience working throughout Asia on domestic and cross-border insolvency and restructuring engagements across several jurisdictions. These assignments included advising corporates, financiers, government agencies and the World Bank/IMF.

Morgan is a Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround Fellow of The Australian Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA) (RITF). He is a Personal Property Securities Act (2009) (PPSA) subject matter expert, and regularly conducts training sessions on this topic for financiers and ARITA.

Financiers and corporates frequently engage Morgan to advise on their PPSA risks and compliance strategies.

Morgan specialises in advising on hospitality assets across the business cycle, including the development of growth strategies, portfolio balancing, divestment of underperforming venues and the implementation of turnaround plans. He was involved in the management and sale of both the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley resort and the Keystone Group.

He is a board member of the Royal Automobile Club of Australia.

Morgan joined KPMG as a Partner following the firm’s merger with Ferrier Hodgson in June 2019.
